KORAN CRAZINESS Sen. Biden Asks Gitmo Be Closed

g

The stunning news that yes, the USA guards did abuse the Koran and did desecrate the Holy Book of the Muslims and did commit yet more war crimes against the prisoners who are being held with no trials, no lawyers, no Geneva Conventions, continues to roil.

Newsweek isn't apologizing to us all for apologizing for what was a pretty much accurate report. Nor is Bush apologizing to anyone for attacking Newsweek nor are the other portions of the Mighty Wulitzer, the American Pravda machinery, apologizing for their billious, bellowing attacks on Newsweek. Instead, they are all spinning like crazy.
Two weeks ago, the White House was thrown on the defensive by a now-retracted Newsweek report alleging that U.S. interrogators at the detention center for alleged terrorists in Cuba had flushed a Quran down a toilet.

The story stirred worldwide controversy and the Bush administration blamed it for deadly demonstrations in Afghanistan. Saying America's image abroad had suffered irreparable damage, the White House responded with a verbal offensive against the media.

On Saturday, a day after the Pentagon described a series of cases of U.S. personnel mishandling the Quran, the White House downplayed the issue.

"It is unfortunate that some have chosen to take out of context a few isolated incidents by a few individuals," presidential spokesman Scott McClellan said in a statement.
There are an awful lot of "few individuals" at work here. They seem to be in every prison camp we run. The military is getting pretty steamed about the underlings being punished for being "good Germans" for their AWOL leader, Bush. Note that not one guard at Gitmo is being punished this time around. Instead, they are being kept anonymous.
The Pentagon confirmed Friday evening — after the networks' evening news shows had aired — that a U.S. soldier had deliberately kicked a prisoner's holy book. The report also said prison guards had thrown water balloons in a cell block, causing an unspecified number of Qurans to get wet; a guard's urine had splashed on a detainee and his Quran; an interrogator had stepped on a Quran during an interrogation; and a two-word obscenity had been written in English on the inside cover of a Quran.

Pentagon officials said the problems were relatively minor and U.S. commanders have gone to great lengths to enable detainees to practice their religion.
Maybe the Pentagon thinks this is all pretty minor stuff but the Muslim world has spoken rather loudly about this matter and they consider it a major problem. Remember winning hearts and minds stuff?

Well, the Pentagon thought this means driving people out of their minds!
White House officials noted that the investigation last month, by Brig. Gen. Jay Hood, the commander of the detention center, also found 15 cases of detainees mishandling their own Qurans.

"These included using a Quran as a pillow, ripping pages out of the Quran, attempting to flush a Quran down the toilet and urinating on the Quran," Hood's report said. It offered no possible explanation for the detainees' actions.
No explanation for these actions? Excuse me, but this sounds like the torture and abuse and other crimes committed against prisoners of war drove some of them insane. The torturers pretending they have no clue as to why this is occuring sickens me. Obviously, they are too foolish and naive to be allowed to be in charge of prisoners or they are evil. Either way, they should be removed.

The School for the Americas trained torturers and assisted them in the psychology of breaking the spirits of prisoners so they fall apart and go insane. We have proof the prisoners are being abused by the fact that some of them have utterly broken down and are quite mad.

This occurs in American prisons, too. This is why they built many isolation chambers that keep prisoners in a hellish living death with zero contact with any humans at all, not even guards. This abuse is quietly hidden away from the public.

The prisoners in Gitmo were abused from day one. Their form of transport was deliberately brutal with total physical isolation with no sense of touch or smell or sight. To break them down so they would confess. Now they are kept for no reason at all in degrading cages reminicent of Vietnam. We can't release many of them because they know too much...about our own crimes.

The ones were were pressured to release all confirm that torture and abuse were rampant at Gitmo.
On her goodwill trip to the Middle East last month, first lady Laura Bush said Newsweek should not be solely blamed for the deadly protests that followed its report.

"In the United States if there's a terrible report, people don't riot and kill other people," she said. "And you can't excuse what they did because of the mistake — you know, you can't blame it all on Newsweek."
Gads, I hate Laura B. She is also a rank liar. She is as old as me. She grew up knowing about frequent riots and dissention. Cities burning, even! When Martin Luther King was murdered, riots burned all over the place. When we discovered Nixon lied about bombing Cambodia, people were killed in America while demonstrating against this! Whites for years and years in the south would riot and kill blacks over rumors of sexual nature!

If this lunatic is supposed to be spreading good will, all I can say is....forget about it, liebe Hausfrau.

Senator Biden says on TV news show, "Close Gitmo". Well, about time! Of course, he wants the gulag victims hauled off to hidden hell holes elsewhere in classic "Nacht und Nebel" Nazi style disappearances. He should ask the killers trained at the School of the Americas how to get rid of pesky prisoners one dares not put on trial! Maybe dropping them from helicopters in to the sea? Or kill them the way we did in Vietnam: shooting them in the back of the head.
"This has become the greatest propaganda tool that exists for recruiting of terrorists around the world. And it is unnecessary to be in that position," Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) said on ABC's "This Week."
Note his concern is about "propaganda." This is all so sad, it shows how demoralized and demonized our foreign policy has become. Real news that really outrages is "propaganda" and people hating us is because of this information.

Earth to Biden: they hate us because we turned ourselves into monsters that are fearful and ugly. Ugly Americans turned the hearts and minds of a billion people against us! Getting rid of our victims won't fix this problem!
Although he defended the London-based group's characterization of Guantanamo as a gulag, the head of Amnesty International USA said he does not "know for sure." Executive Director William F. Schulz also told "Fox News Sunday" that "I have no idea" whether Rumsfeld, as Schulz previously stated, is an "apparent high-level architect of torture" for allegedly approving interrogation methods that Schulz said violated international law. "It would be fascinating to find out," Schulz said.
My father was at the Nuremburg Trials. On the side of the prosecution. A cousin of his who ran Stalag VIIa was in the dock. I think it would be very fascinating to discover who authorized and used and then punished the lower level guards for photographing the rampant torture our prisons are famous for...it could be used at the trials!

I, like my dad at the Nuremburg Trials, blame the Leader in the end but still hold the people doing the crimes in the name of the Leader equally responsible.
