Bin Laden's eternal message to the USA.

I parked the backhoe and finally got free of the poison ivy and flies only to come inside the nice cool house to read more ridiculous news. From the BBC:
At least 1,000 protesters have staged a demonstration outside the main US base of Bagram in Afghanistan.OK. Just a month ago, old Karzai came to America to beg for us to do as he says, not as we want. He warned us to let him do the chase for bin Laden and the Taliban and to not bother the opium war lords or hold prisoners so we can torture them and mock the Koran.
The demonstrators, chanting "Die America", were angry at the arrest of a number of villagers on Monday night. Some threw stones at military vehicles.
Piles of tyres were burned on the main road near the base, sending clouds of black smoke billowing over the area.
Eyewitness say US troops fired warning shots at the demonstrators. The US military are denying this. Crowds dispersed after being told the Americans would hand the detainees to Afghan authorities.
Bush brushed off everything and sent him home, gloomy and empty handed. Since then, all hell has broken lose. We lost many top troops now in the fierce fighting. Peasants vs the Empire. Sounds like the Wookies against you know who. Why are we playing the bad guys all the time? Why have we lost not only their hearts and minds but lost our own minds?
The Empire pumping gas into a SUV.
"Afghan and US forces attempted to contact local leaders to involve them in the operation but were unable to do so," a statement said.Remember, the people in this part of Afghanistan wanted us to invade. They are our supporters. Our opponents simply shoot to kill now. The fact that they stormed the gates screaming, "Death to America" is a very bad sign. In Iraq, when we gave the natives problems, like when we occupied a school the first month we were there, we shot a number of them dead even when they were unarmed demonstrations.
Afghan troops used batons to beat back the protesters as they tried to push down the base's outer gate.
It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties. The protesters said that the Americans should have consulted local authorities first before arresting the villagers.
"We have supported the Americans for years. We should be treated with dignity," local resident Shah Aghar told the Associated Press news agency.
"They are arresting our people without the permission of the government. They are breaking into our houses and offending the people. We are very angry," he said. Later on Tuesday the US military said the men would be handed over to the Afghan authorities.
"We met with local leaders and we agreed to release the individuals we detained last night into the custody of the local governor," US military spokesman Lt Col Jerry O' Hara told the AFP news agency.
This is the definition of a powderkeg. These aren't people who will turn and go home. They can't. We are in their homes so they have to confront us and they are confronting us and Congress is debating the appointment of the monumentally stupid Texan, Karen Hughes, to fix all of this with magic PR. I really do pray she is sent over to Iraq and Afghanistan. Put a beard on her and she can pretend to be bin Laden and give "Love America, give them opium and oil!" speeches.
Heck, forget the beard. Just give her a turban.
