Ever since Zogby, almost as a joke, asked Americans in a poll if they wanted Bush impeached and a very significant number said yes, many quite forcefully, this have been a totally taboo question. No media dares breathe it. But a fine organization of online people have raised money to hire a professional pollster to ask this question!

From After Downing
By a margin of 50% to 44%, Americans want Congress to consider impeaching President Bush if he lied about the war in Iraq, according to a new poll commissioned by, a grassroots coalition that supports a Congressional investigation of President Bush's decision to invade Iraq in 2003.

The poll was conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs, the highly-regarded non-partisan polling company. The poll interviewed 1,001 U.S. adults on October 6-9.

The poll found that 50% agreed with the statement:

"If President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable by impeaching him."

44% disagreed, and 6% said they didn't know or declined to answer. The poll has a +/- 3.1% margin of error.

Among those who felt strongly either way, 39% strongly agreed, while 30% strongly disagreed.

"The results of this poll are truly astonishing," said co-founder Bob Fertik. "Bush's record-low approval ratings tell just half of the story, which is how much Americans oppose Bush's policies on Iraq and other issues. But this poll tells the other half of the story - that a solid plurality of Americans want Congress to consider removing Bush from the White House."
Hahaha. After this winter, the question might be, "Do you want his head on a pike or burn him at the stake?"

Already, the terrible news about natural gas is ripping through the populace. There is a run on woodstoves. My friends who sell firewood are being sold out. Pellets are being sold out as millions change to pellet stoves! If enough people change to other fuels, maybe we will survive this winter with not that many people frozen to death.

Meanwhile, the MSM pretends our economy will take no hits from all of this. La, la. I remember the other oil/energy crisises and how they blossomed into economic train wrecks. Economic writers, theorists and politicians have banded together for years, building a fake scaffolding of ridiculous premises all designed to pretend energy prices don't affect economies!

But then, when the Great Depression hit, all the politicians and economists were caught flat-footed for the same reasons: they didn't take into account reality. It was all a game to them. A god's rotted game.
