After Running Away Empty Handed, Bush Reappears to Attack Chavez
By Elaine Meinel Supkis
The world's worst diplomat, Bush, was chased out of South America after being slapped silly over FTAA plans. The leader of the New World Idiot Disorders stands brave against Venezuela's Chavez, attacking him from far away, oh, the brave AWOL bubble boy!
In a clear jab at Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, President Bush called on Latin Americans on Sunday to boldly defend strong democratic institutions and reject any drift back to the days of authoritarian rule.Seems to me that Venezuela's Chavez is welcome everywhere in the world except for the USA, only we buy lots of oil from them, ahem. Far from being a client state like most of Eastern Europe, Venezuela has an armlock on us, especially since the hurricanes destroyed our oil infrastructure.
Bush's remarks came after Chavez, the leftist leader and friend of Cuba's Fidel Castro, spent the past two days hurling criticism at the United States at the Summit of the Americas in Argentina.
Eyeing three upcoming presidential elections in Latin America, Bush said citizens must choose "between two competing visions" for their future.
One, he said, pursues representative government, integration into the world community and freedom's transformative power for individuals.
The authoritarian ruler is Bush. Of course, he imagines, attacking the very popularily elected real democratic leader who had real elections with no Diebold 18181 totals, no weird stuff like we have here...nope. Seems he is 100% democratically elected in a real popular election, not placed in power by the GOP courtiers in the Supreme Court, eh?
So in Brazil, Bush decides to "lead" and this means attacking people who aren't around to talk back.
Heavily armed police officers wearing bulletproof vests outnumbered the 150 demonstrators who protested with banners saying "Fora Bush" (Get Out Bush) at the retreat's entrance.Heh. Just, heh.
About 40 students also participated in a sit-in at a local McDonald's that they called a symbol of U.S. capitalism.
"We will remain here until Bush disappears from the planet or leaves Brazil, whichever comes first," said one demonstrator, Rosa Marques, a history student at the University of Brasilia.
Anyway, our enfant terrible decides to attack a real popular leader who could walk around Argentina and do business and negotiate contracts and goodies and talk to huge crowds without armed guards hiding on all roofs and in windows, out terrified little Bubble Boy can't walk in DC much less in Buenos Aires!
Bush tells the American pressitutes that he has a "personal chemistry" with the president of Brazil who happens to have a very good relationship with Chavez. This mixing up of diplomacy with "Pootie-poot" style gadding about on bikes or fishing or drooling with various world leaders is exactly why our country is rapidly losing power and prestige. Our leader isn't in kindergarden, gladhanding fellow classmates in the hopes of getting to distribute the koolaid and cookies at snack time! Our goofy leader's "tough talk" is ridiculous coming on the heels of goofing around like a child in public with real leaders of real nations.
