Someone Who Wants Civil War and The Destruction of America Blew Up Holiest Shi'a Shrine

By Elaine Meinel Supkis

Someone (there are many candidates for who) blew up and completely destroyed the Shi'a's most holy shrine, the Golden Dome of Samarra. This comes in the middle of American intense pressure on the Shia (Shi'ites) to share power with other religious/tribal groups. Iraq is litterally blowing up in our faces. Our troops are in tremendous danger now.

From the BBC:
A bomb attack in Iraq has badly damaged one of the holiest sites in Shia Islam, sparking furious protests.
Thousands of Iraqis have gathered at the al-Askari shrine in Samarra, north of Baghdad, where two men blew up the famous golden dome in a dawn raid.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the spiritual head of Iraq's Shia Muslims, has called for a week of mourning.
Just the other day, Sadr threw unity talks into disarray.
The 33-year old firebrand - whose support was crucial to last week's controversial re-nomination of the prime minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari - threw the nascent talks into disarray at the weekend, saying he opposed Iraq's new federal constitution and repeating calls for the swift withdrawal of US and other foreign forces.

"I reject this constitution which calls for sectarianism and there is nothing good in this constitution at all," he told al-Jazeera television in a rare interview, conducted in Jordan. He added that the withdrawal of foreign forces "should be the priority of the future Iraqi government."
OK, this explosion happened when the temple was empty. Previous Sunni/Shi'a explosions have happened, using suicide lunatics, during festivals and worship. This one was a sunrise raid. Samarra isn't exactly an open city for any Sunni to enter much less a group of armed men carrying what had to be a very big load of TNT. This bomb blew up a very massive building.

The building was pretty much empty except for guards which makes me suspicious. Not that the list of bomb suspects is short! There are a whole slew of people who want war and chaos in the Middle East and America in the middle of it. Like a guy named Bin Laden.

Our invasion of Iraq will go down in the annals of history as a tremendous event. And like previous tremendous events, viewed as the ultimate military/imperialist folly. Unlike the American media, the historians will marvel as to why a global empire's benefactors chose a drunk, ill tempered war deserter to lead the empire on world conquest.

Napoleon showed himself to be a great general and a magnetic leader when he took over the French empire. Hannibal's attempt at subduing Rome failed by he is still hailed as a military genius. Alexander the Great was dashing, energetic, magnetic and a fine tactician just like a host of Roman generals. Rome did what we are doing. After extending their empire all over the place, they sat back and began to choose a series of Bush clones to lead them to hell.

Why empires love to do this baffles me. America is filled with really competent people who could have easily kept the ship of state afloat, case in hand is Clinton. But the rich and powerful weren't happy with Clinton's steady hand so they installed Bush who is, on nearly every level, totally toxic for maintaining and extending an empire.

Iraq was lost long ago. We are like a bug caught by a sadistic child, wings stripped off, pinned to a table top by a knife point, spinning helplessly. The Soviet Union bled to death doing exactly what we are doing. We are bleeding to death.

Thank you, Skull and Bones.
